Laurel Skirt- Limited Edition Floral

My Laurel Limited Edition vintage floral skirt arrived last night and I couldn't wait to open the package -- I have been waiting for it to be available, and then for it to ship from the moment I saw a photo from last year's IG post. And it did not disappoint. AT ALL! It is beautiful. In every way. The fabric is exquisite. It is a heavy linen. Almost like a duck or canvas weight without being stiff -- imagine your favorite denim-weight fabric after it has softened and been washed over and over again. The floral pattern is gorgeous (I have the navy floral) and it is reminiscent of "Out of Africa" or the most lovely Ralph Lauren country photo shoot of the 90s -- but better. It drapes beautifully and can be worn with a little linen shirt and clogs or layers of sweaters and scarves and lug-soled boots. I love the lines of the Laurel skirt -- I have it in a summer linen, but with this heavier linen, you really get a sense of how well-designed this skirt is. I have sewn all my life, and I wouldn't even try to replicate its unique design and how it fits on the body. There is a part of me that doesn't want to post this review because I want them ALL -- but out of honest enthusiasm for this piece, and how beautifully it is made, I must.

Beautiful fabric and design! Skirt arrived quickly and although it’s a large skirt and was in a smallish box, it was unwrinkled. Can’t wait to wear this all Autumn and Winter.
